Lesley Nicol 's recent West End theatre credits include Kath Casey in the Madness musical Our House at The Cambridge Theatre London.

Lesley trained at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Theatre credits includes Getting To The Foot of The Mountain and East Lynne (Birmingham Rep) Dreaming (Royal Exchange), Joking Apart (Greenwich Theatre), Odysseus Thump and Lucky Sods (West Yorkshire Playhouse), Romeo and Juliet, Epsom Downs, and Blue Remembered Hills (Bristol Old Vic). She won the Best Supporting Actress Award from the Manchester Evening News for the triple bill A Small Family Business, Salt of The Earth and Company, which ran at the Oldham Coliseum. Lesley created the role of Auntie Annie in East Is East for the Royal Court at the Ambassadors Theatre.

Musical theatre work includes: Rosie in Mamma Mia (Prince Edward Theatre), Jesus Christ Superstar (Palace Theatre), Mrs Johnstone in Blood Brothers (Haymarket Theatre, Leicester) and Seven Deadly Virtues and Tomfoolery for Alan Ayckbourn at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough.

Television work includes Comedy shows include Dinnerladies, two series of Russ Abbot, Mrs Pants in Blackadder II, Alexei Sayle's Stuff and The Paul Merton Show. Other TV includes Touch of Frost, Holby City, Extremely Dangerous, Casualty, Peak Practice, Heartbeat (two series), Staying Alive (two series), The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and The Chronicles of Narnia (The Silver Chair).

Lesley made her film debut in the award winning East is East.

Lesley has also recorded many plays and stories for Radio 4, most recently the trilogy The Wrong Side of the River.
