Jeff Leyton

Jeff Leyton's recent West End theatre credits including playing the role of Jean Valjean in the stage musical Les Miserables at The Queen's Theatre, London. In addition to this he played the role of Jean Valjean in the UK tour (1992-93, 98) and at The Palace Theatre, London (1995-97). Jeff has now played the role of Jean Valjean over 2,500 times!

Other theatre credits include Old Deuteronomy in Cats (New London Theatre), The Count of Monte-Cristo, a musical, which he co-authored with Tommy Smith.

Concert credits include Open-air concert version of Les Misérables at the Chelmsford Spectacular. Played Valjean in a special concert version in Dublin, alongside old adversary Peter Corry reprising the role of Javert. Jeff also performed in the Les Misérables 10th Anniversary Concert at The Royal Albert Hall representing Ireland in the Valjean line up. Some Enchanted Evening (Odyssey Arena, Belfast).

Recordings include Agonys Awakening by Craig Warner featuring several well-known names from musical theatre (BBC Radio 2).

In September 1998 Jeff released his first solo album entitled Music of the Night, accompanying the City of London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Prior to discovering musicals, Jeff was nominated for the Hugo Boss/Liverpool Echo Theatre, TV and Cinema Award.
