Richard Lloyd King
Richard Lloyd King's recent West End theatre credits include John in Miss Saigon at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, London. Richard's career began with extensive appearances in Dougie Squires' second Generation which involved television and live performances throughout the UK. This was closely followed by joining Arlene Phillip's Hot Gossip and he has made frequent appearances in many television programmes. From then on, Richard's career followed a number of different paths and in recent years he has spent most of his time appearing on stage in the West End - as Richie in A Chorus Line, directed by Michael Bennett at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. This was followed by a long and popular stay in Cats playing Tugger, followed by Children of Eden at the Prince Edward Theatre, directed by John Caird, portraying The Snake and then The Cotton Club at the Aldwych Theatre directed by Billy Wilson playing Jim Carlton. This was followed by a successful run as Four-Eyed Moe in Five Guys Named Moe, directed by Charles Augins at the Lyric Theatre, moving on to play the role of Pooh-Bah in the Hot Mikado, directed by David H Bell at the Queen's Theatre. Richard is the presenter of Dance Workshop for BBC Radio 5 and was the voice of FM in the children's animation series, The Junk Yard. | |
