Tameka Empson
Tameka Empson recent West End credits include playing the role of Billie in the 'Madness Musical' Our House at The Cambridge Theatre London. Tameka trained at the Anna Scher Theatre School. It was at this school she was given the opportunity to help lead drama workshops to children in Soweto, South Africa as well as create and direct her own plays. Theatre credits include Caryl Churchill's play 'Top Girls' at the Aldwych Theatre and a number one UK tour. Other theatre credits include: Splash Hatch on the E Going Down (Donmar Warehouse); Inkle and Yarico (BAC); Cockroach Who and Bondage (Royal Court); Shalom Soweto (Anna Scher). Television credits include the role of 'Marcia the waitress' in Davina McCall's sitcom 'Sam's Game'(Carlton). She has also appeared in London's Burning; Eastenders; Desperate to Act; A Taste for Death; The Beano and The Dandy. Tameka's most memorable film role to date is as the loud girl next door- 'Leah' in the Jonathan Harvey film 'Beautiful Thing'. Her other film credits include: Long Time Dead; Silent Cry; Strong Boys; The Martins; Lava; Babymother; I Want You; Prince of Denmark Hill. | |
