Jenny Eclair
Jenny Eclair was recently seen playing the role of Deborah in Mum's The Word at the Albery Theatre London. Jenny Eclair is a stand-up comic, novelist and actress, but only because she has a pathological need for attention. Still the only woman to win the Perrier Award (Haha), Eclair has been delivering gusset humour for over two decades, so it's possibly time she did something a bit more grown-up. Career highlights include the publication of her first novel, Camberwell Beauty in 2000, appearing in The Vagina Monologues (both in the West End and on tour) and regularly losing (badly) on Radio 4's Just a Minute. A writer of plays, radio sit-coms, newspaper articles and filthy jokes, Eclair is currently ploughing through her second novel. She lives in S E London with her partner St Geof and their girl child, Phoebe. Phoebe is fourteen and obviously more talented and beautiful than the rest of the cast's children put together. Eclair would like it to be known that whilst she is appearing in the theatre during the evening she is still available for voice-overs during the day. | |
