Nan Christie's recent West End credits include Carlotta Guidicelli in the stage musical version of The Phantom of the Opera at London's Her Majesty's Theatre.

Nan Christie began her distinguished career with her native Scottish Opera and after winning the coveted Peter Stuyvesant scholarship to the London Opera Centre was invited to make her debut at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and has subsequently sung with all the major British opera companies. Her appearances with Glyndebourne Festival Opera include Fire and Nightingale in L'Enfant et les Sortilèges conducted by Sir Simon Rattle and Despina in Sir Peter Hall's production of Così Fan Tutte conducted by Sir Bernard Haitink. Roles for Scottish Opera include Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Tytania in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Birdie in Regina, Despina in Così Fan Tutte, Queen of Shemakhan in Le Coq D'or and Queen of Night in The Magic Flute. English National Opera: Zdenka in Arabella, Countess Adele in Count Ory, Eurydice in Orpheus in the Underworld, Adele in Die Fledermaus and Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute. International: Frasquita in Carmen (Edinburgh Festival), Mavra (Paris), Pamina in The Magic Flute (Opéra de Nancy), Servilia in Clemenza di Titus (Bordeaux), Giunia in Lucio Silla (Zurich Opera), Tytania in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Zurich), and Lausanne Frasquita in the Arena production of Carmen (Tokyo, Birmingham and Dortmund). Recent performances: Sir Peter Maxwell Davies' Doctor of Myddfai for Welsh National Opera and William Bolcom's Songs of Innocence and Experience with the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall in London conducted by Leonard Slatkin. Fothcoming engagements include performances in Washington DC and Carnegie Hall, New York.
