Hayden Christensen
Hayden Christensen made his West End stage debut in the play This Is Our Youth at The Garrick Theatre in London. Hayden Christensen became involved with Canadian television productions at a young age starring as Skip McDeere in Family Passions in 1993 and as Young John Ryan in Street Law in 1995. He moved into American TV movies and series in the late ’90s, which he combined with stage training at the Lee Strasberg Institute. Making his film debut in John Carpenter’s In the Mouth of Madness Mr Christensen went on to star in the TV series Harrison Bergeron (1995) and as Teddy Winfield in Danielle Steel’s No Greater Love (1996). His film career began in 1998 with an appearance in Strike!, alongside Lynn Redgrave, Kirsten Dunst and Gaby Hoffman. Following a role in TV series Freefall, he was then seen as Jack Hill Conley in Sophia Coppola’s acclaimed The Virgin Suicides. In 2000 Mr Christensen starred as Orin Krieg in Trapped in a Purple Haze and as Scott Barringer in the Fox Family Channel’s drama series Higher Ground. 2001 brought in a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for his performance as Sam in the critically acclaimed film Life as a House, directed by Irwin Winkler and starring Kevin Kline and Kirsten Scott Thomas. 2002 saw the world-wide release of George Lucas’ Star Wars Episode II - Attack of the Clones, in which Mr Christensen plays the lead role of Anakin Skywalker. | |
