Helen Anker
Helen Anker's recent West End credits include the musical Beautiful and Damned at the Lyric Theatre and the dance musical Contact at the Queen's Theatre. Helen spent five years training with the Royal Ballet, furthering her studies at Doreen Bird's College of Performing Arts. West End credits include: Crazy for You at the Prince Edward playing Vera and Patsy, Cats at the New London playing Jemima, Jellylorum and Demeter, Fame in which she played Iris, both at the Cambridge and the Spektrum Theatre, Oslo, Radio Times at the Queen's Theatre playing Grosvenor and Thelma Furness in Always at the Victoria Palace. Helen also played Aggie, and understudied/played Laurey in Oklahoma! at the Royal National Theatre and the Lyceum and then appeared in Hard Times at the Haymarket, playing the leading role of Louisa Gradgrind. Regional credits include The Wizard of Oz at the Crucible, Sheffield and Alice Fitzwarren in Dick Whittington at the Gatehouse, Stafford, Princess Beauty in The Sleeping Beauty and the Princess Kay in Mother Goose, both at Derby Playhouse. Helen played Joyce Arbuthnot-Palmer in Nymph Errant at the Minerva Theatre, Chichester and the part of Frederica in A Little Night Music at the Leicester Haymarket. Various film roles include Julie in Misadventures, Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest, Emma in Floorspace and Caroline in Mind the Gap. Helen has toured in The Best of Broadway and London Pride with the New London Entertainment Company and most recently appeared in Masterpieces at the Birmingham Rep and the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford. | |
