Niklas Andersson
Niklas Andersson recently played the role of Raoul, Vicomte de Changy, in the West End production of The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre. Niklas was born in Sweden and trained at the Ballet Academy of Performing Arts in Gothenburg and the Music and Theatre School on Bjärnum. His musical theatre experience includes Robert in Kristina Från Duvemåla, an original musical by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus; Chris in Miss Saigon (both in Stockholm) and Tony in West Side Story in Malmö. Niklas was also a member of the Miss Saigon company in Copenhagen. Niklas made his West End debut as Chris in Miss Saigon at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. He then appeared as Marius in Les Misérables at the Palace Theatre. Niklas Andersson's concerts include: Stockholm Water Prize 1999, Stockholm Junior Water Prize 2000 in the presence of the Swedish Royal family with guests, and several concerts at the Royal Theatre Confidencen in Stockholm. 100th birthday party of the Hippodrome Theatre in Birmingham alongside Joanna Ampil and sang the role of Marius in Les Misérables in Concert (Odyssey Arena, Belfast). Television credits include: appearances in Sweden such as the most popular entertainment show Så Ska Det Låta, National day celebrations - 00 and the millennium celebrations. Niklas is much sought after for concerts throughout the world and was delighted play Raoul as this makes it a hat-trick for Cameron Mackintosh Ltd. - after starring in Les Misérables and Miss Saigon. | |
